SCI is currently seeking multiple Java/J2EE Application Software engineer consultants to support our federal clients. The role requires a combination of proven analytical capabilities, strong technical expertise, as well as software development experience with an established federal government. 

Desired Competencies

• Experience in Test-Driven Development approach.

• Good communication skills (writing and presenting). Presents ideas effectively in formal and informal situations. Conveys thoughts clearly and concisely. Listens well and asks good questions

• Sound Decisiveness and Excellent problem solving skills

• Must work well in a team environment as well as independently

• A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university. Related majors such as computer science, information systems, and information technology are preferred.

• Experience in Agile Software Developement practice.

Technical Expertise

• 10+ Years Java, JEE, Spring Required

• Design and implement JEE software applications

• Present the solution at formal and informal design reviews, and document the design according to the Government's system lifecycle methodology

• Code Reviews and design and architecture reviews

• Hands on experience on below software languages and tools

  • HTML\Javascript\CSS, JSP\Servlets, Struts, Spring, Web services, SQL, MongoDB, XML, Unix/ Linux, Apache HTTP Server, IBMIHS,Java Web Containers (Tomcat\Jetty\etc), Hibernate, JDBC, JMS

• Experience designing and delivering complex, highly-scalable software components

• Experience in using Software Security code scanners
